Jan Emblemsvåg was one of three finalists for European Quality Leader (2019) Jan will talk about: Quality in management in project-based industries.

Quality in management in project-based industries has many peculiarities compared to manufacturing environments. Those key differences are the lack of repetition and the contract regime. These differences, and more, will be discussed including how we deal with them.

Dr. Jan Emblemsvåg is the former SVP of Ship Design & Systems at Rolls-Royce Marine and General Manager at Midsund Bruk. He is also Associate Professor at Norwegian University of Science and Technology, consultant and speaker. His experience includes management consulting, project-, risk- and operations management and senior management positions in various industries. He is an award-winning ambassador to Quality & Risk Norway. He has written several books and dozens of papers. He holds a PhD and M.Sc. at Georgia Institute of Technology and a M.Sc. at Norwegian University of Science and Technology.
